Lesotho Energy Access Dialogue 2026
VENUE & TRAVEL
The event will take place on 19-20 May, 2026.
Venue: 'Manthabiseng Convention Centre
Only approved participants will have access to the venue.
TRAVEL
Participants are responsible for arranging their own travels at their own cost. To reach Maseru, the capital city of Lesotho, LEAD 2026 participants can fly into Moshoeshoe I International Airport.
Alternatively, delegates may fly into the Bram Fisher International Airport (BFN) in South Africa and travel by road to Maseru which is a 2-hour drive. Participants may enter Lesotho through the Maseru Bridge Border Post, which operates 24/7.
ACCOMMODATION
Participants are also responsible for arranging and covering the cost of their own accommodation during the LEAD event. We encourage you to book early, as availability may be limited.
For convenience, you may consider the following options in Maseru: Avani Lesotho Hotel & Casino, Mpilo Boutique Hotel, Thabeng Hotel and Lancers Inn.
VISA
A valid passport, not expiring for at least six months from the date of arrival is required for entry into Lesotho.
The European Union countries do not require to obtain visa to visit Lesotho up to 14 days. Some countries’ nationals require entry visa in order to visit Lesotho. More information on Lesotho visa: https://www.homeaffairs.gov.ls/immigration/
OBTAINING A LESOTHO VISA
To apply for a Lesotho visa, participants would need to send all documents listed below to the email address visa-applications.immigration@gov.ls

Home affairs then issues the applicant a letter to say that they may enter the country and to report to home affairs with their passport and make the visa payment of M1000 within 72 hours after arrival.
HEALTH & VACCINATION
Travellers need to show documentation on their yellow fever vaccination if traveling from or through a yellow fever endemic country.
